| Achieving & Updating...
Hi, Welcome to my little corner on the World Wide Web. Currently, I'm working as a Software Engineering Associate at Brocade Communications Systems, Santa Clara (CA).
I've completed MS in Computer Science from the University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles. During my Master's studies, I've worked as a Research Programmer with Teamcore Research Group at USC under guidance of Prof. Milind Tambe.
I've worked on two AI & security research projects at Teamcore Research Group, named ARMOR and IRIS. These projects are aimed to improve the security at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and to randomize the scheduling of Federal Air Marshals in international flights, respectively. Please refer to projects links and news articles for more information.

Projects
ARMOR: ARMOR (Assistant for Randomized Monitoring Over Routes) has been successfully deployed since August 2007 at the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) to randomize checkpoints on the roadways entering the airport and canine patrol routes within the airport terminals. The LAX Police Division has awarded us on behalf of City of Los Angeles for the success of this project. Please refer to this news article for more details.
IRIS: IRIS (Intelligent Randomness In Scheduling) is a scheduling assistant for Federal Air Marshals, USA. It is currently in development phase. With approximately 29,000 commercial flights per day in United States airspace, the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS) prioritizes allocation of resources based on risk. The current process follows the FAMS Concept of Operations and the DHS risk methodology by assigning FAM deployments based on consequence, vulnerability and threat. This application could aid FAMS in applying randomness in selection of a set of high risk flights to increase terrorist uncertainty of FAMS deployments. Please refer to this news article for more details.
These projects are funded by the USC Homeland Security Center, CREATE (Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events).
